About Carnaval del Pueblo
The mayor of London cordially invites you to his fertile back garden for the biggest European Latin music festival... well, in the whole of Europe. Last year, no less than 100,000 people attended.
The whole day kicks off at City Hall where a procession of literally tens of floats from all the London boroughs weave their way through Southbank and on to the lush fields of Burgess Park.
There are more than five stages offering everything from traditional salsa to the most modern reggaeton. The point of the matter is that this is the most energetic music in the whole world. We've got anything you want - yes we've got Cuban Salsa, we've got American Salsa, yes there'll be Samba, yes there'll be Mariachis, there'll be Son, Rumba, Danzon, Reggaeton, Cumbia Vallenato, Latin rap...
As well as that there will be a whole array of tents selling Latin food dishes, souvenirs, arts & crafts and flags.
The best part is that this event is TOTALLY FREE!!!
